Kebnekajse (as they currently spell it) culled their name from Sweden's highest mountain peak, some 2014 m above ocean level, but slightly dwindling because the glacier on the top is melting away due to the global warming. Kebnekajse is still playing. "Resa Mot Okänt Mål" (Voyage Into The Unknown - something...) was their debut album and always regarded their best. Mainly instrumental, but still describing and imaginative.
Deep frozen northern swedish tundra rock.
Heavy guitars, strange vocals and a rhythm section rolling along like a runaway train. Despite its common obscurity, surely among the ten most important albums to come out of Sweden during the last 40 years. A Swedish classic and a hardrock classic of it's day.
The albums realy fun to listen to and some moments are very funny and amusing.
