THIS IS THE BLOG.Top of the tops. The BLUES IS HERE.If you can help me I am desperately looking for:JOHN LEE HOKER:IF YOU MISS 'IM...I GOT IM, HOWLIN' WOLF:MESSAGE TO THE YOUNG, EDDIE JONES:ONE STRING BLUES, MUDDY WATERS AND HOWLIN' WOLF:LONDON REVISITED(outakes form their works their in London sessions). Thanks for this great blog.Pedro from Argentina.
Message to young in couple od days i upload John Lee Hooker there: http://ricsibelan.blogspot.com/2007/08/john-lee-hooker-featuring-earl-hooker.html and london revisited i upload but i have now only 10from 12 tracks but found other 2 too but now in queue
I have just downloaded the J. L. Hooker one.Excellent as I had imagined.Earl Hooker, cousin of John Lee, is said to have been the best slide player of all times and his skill shows in the LP. ATTENTION:THERE ARE SEVERAL RECORDS WITH THE NAME 'LONDON REVISITED'.The one I am looking for has 4 songs by MUDDY and 3 songs by HOWLIN'.As I said before the songs were left out of their LONDON SESSIONS respectively.Although I have the song in other versions, these ones were recorded in London with English musicians(E. Clapton, S. Winwood, etc.)so I do not think the one you have may be the same record. The cover of this Chess LP is a drawing of MUDDY and HOWLIN' as pirates or something. Eddie 'one string' Jones is the link ,modestly I think, between Africa and America. His blues is the rootest thing I have ever heard. He played with a one string instrument, similar to one in Africa and one in Brazil(berinbao).I have one song, in one CD compilation. He was 'discovererd' in an alley, recorded very primitively and then... he disappeared forever.Check what I am telling you.Existe only one CD by him. Thanks for your dedication. Pedro from Argentina.
